The Project
We met with Moore Blatch in their Southampton office to discuss a potential move to Whiteley. We carried out a full storage survey to work out exactly what was required to be transferred to Whiteley, and how much additional office storage would be required as ultimately this would determine the number of staff we could fit in.After calculating the total liner meterage of office storage required we designed a lay out which met Moore Blatch’s requirements whilst still allowing a comfortable working environment. This was particularly challenging due to the amount of windows around the perimeter of the building that we did not want to put storage in front of.
Once the plans were agreed and the orders placed the snow began to fall. We knew that we needed to have the job completed before the end of the year so we threw additional labour at the job to get it completed, the snow didn’t stop us even though our fitters had a 4 hour trip back home due to the weather conditions!
James Renwick of Warrens Office Ltd. and I worked together on a project to move 50 people from Southampton to premises in Whiteley. The project involved space planning and the sourcing and delivery of furniture and storage solutions.
I found James to be extremely responsive and always willing to attend on site meetings to give his input as our planning process progressed. He was mindful of getting the best solutions whilst also meeting our budget requirements. James thinks laterally to provide solutions, kept his promises and went beyond the realms of duty to ensure delivery of our furniture despite the best attempts of the snow and ice to foil us.
James’s advice was extremely practical and he ensured the smooth running of this project.
I would certainly use James again and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.Chris Chalk
